About the Brain Aneurysm Foundation
The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is dedicated to early diagnosis, advancing critical research, and saving lives through education and awareness to achieve a world without death or disability from brain aneurysms. To reach this goal, we:
- Promote the critical need for training, technology, and education for early detection of brain aneurysms – with a focus on providing information and raising awareness of the symptoms and risk factors.
- Collaborate with medical communities worldwide to provide vital support networks for patients and families.
- Advance research into new medical interventions aimed at saving lives and improving patients’ treatments and outcomes.
- Advocate at the national level for increased federal spending on brain aneurysm research and the interests of patients and families.
Brain aneurysms are treatable, which is why identifying an aneurysm before rupture is critical. With research and appropriate scanning, we can all get a step closer to preventing ruptures, disability, and death.

About our Run/Walk Events
Run or walk with us and join thousands nationwide who have been impacted by brain aneurysms. Survivors, caregivers, those who are remembering a loved one, advocates, researchers, and supporters are all essential to unlocking a future of more lives saved through critical fundraising, awareness, and education.
Your participation is the key to -
Raising Awareness and Education: Brain aneurysms are treatable, if you know that you have one; and events like this help spread critical information about signs, symptoms, early detection, and risk factors.
Supporting Research: The funds raised from the event directly support research focused on reducing the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures, to create new diagnostics to better prevent ruptures and interventions to transform treatment.
Advocacy: The federal government spends only $2.94 per year on brain aneurysm research for each person afflicted. We advocate on Capitol Hill to seek greater brain aneurysm specific research funding through NIH.
Honoring Loved Ones: Many participate to commemorate loved ones lost to brain aneurysms. It’s a powerful way to share memories and take action in changing the outcomes of a brain aneurysm diagnosis.
Building a Community: By participating, you join a community of survivors, caregivers, and supporters. This sense of solidarity can provide emotional support and strength to those affected by brain aneurysms.
Saving Lives.
