About the Brain Aneurysm Foundation
The BAF is advancing brain aneurysm research in the hope of creating new interventions while raising awareness to help protect the millions of people at risk from potentially deadly ruptures.
The BAF is the largest private funder of brain aneurysm research. The foundation is committed to continue funding researchers across the US and Canada until a major life altering breakthrough is found. To date we have funded nearly $6 million.

About our Run/Walk Events
Join thousands nationwide who have been impacted by brain aneurysms. Survivors, caregivers, those who are remembering a loved one, advocates, researchers, and supporters are all essential to unlocking a future of more lives saved through critical fundraising, awareness, and education.
Your participation is the key to -
Raising Awareness and Education: Brain aneurysms are treatable, if you know that you have one; and events like this help spread critical information about signs, symptoms, early detection, and risk factors.
Supporting Research: The funds raised from the event directly support research focused on reducing the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures, to create new diagnostics to better prevent ruptures and interventions to transform treatment.
Advocacy: The federal government spends only $2.94 per year on brain aneurysm research for each person afflicted. We advocate on Capitol Hill to seek greater brain aneurysm specific research funding through NIH.
Honoring Loved Ones: Many participate to commemorate loved ones lost to brain aneurysms. It’s a powerful way to share memories and take action in changing the outcomes of a brain aneurysm diagnosis.
Building a Community: By participating, you join a community of survivors, caregivers, and supporters. This sense of solidarity can provide emotional support and strength to those affected by brain aneurysms.
