Formerly Known As The Arterial Challenge

The Arterial Challenge, the flagship event for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, was established in 2001 by BAF Executive Director Christine Buckley during her volunteer days. This first run/walk fundraiser for the BAF is what got our nationwide events up and running! Beginning in Marshfield, then Humarock, to Fenway Park and now Castle Island, this event has been the model for bringing together survivors, families, and friends of those impacted by brain aneurysms. It has been a time for people to share stories, meet old friends and make new ones all while raising awareness and funds for education and research.

2023 is a new year and a fresh start! To strengthen our messaging, to be more inclusive, and make the BAF brand stronger, we are changing the name from the Arterial Challenge to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation Run/Walk- New England. We hope you join us as you always have and continue to make this event one of the most successful events each year.
