Debbie
In 2011, Debbie Feiger suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and passed away, just days before her 51st birthday. Debbie was an incredible educator, community leader, family member and friend. Every year Debbie's family hosts a softball tournament to raise money for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. Her children started this event in Debbie's memory the following summer. Throughout the previous five years, the Feigers have raised approximately $50,000 in support of brain aneurysm research and awareness. Last year, we raised over $15,000 and established the Debbie Feiger Chair of Research with the proceeds from this event. Our grant recipient has put this money to use, researching treatment for certain types of brain injuries and how to prevent such injuries from occurring. The Chair of Research established with your help has already led to an increased understanding of white matter brain injury. With your help, we look forward to continuing to fund this important work.
