Again this year, I had to say yes to competing and fundraising for Team Cindy in the gruelling but unforgettable Escape From Alcatraz triathlon!
Our fundraising and this grassroots Team has gathered such great momentum.
And the cause just gets more meaningful to me, participating last year at the Brain Aneurysm Foundation's Annual Research Symposium to represent the Tri team. And that night being very moved in seeing how your dollars are spent through meeting victims, grantee researchers and staff at the Annual Research Symposium.
Your contribution with a click will build into further research funding in this underfunded area of medicine - and I will share all about how the funds are spent this year, later in the year.
And it means much to me, just to seeing your support again, even just $10 that says "go for it..!".
Thank you, thank you.

More about our Fundraising....
TeamCindy honors the life of Cynthia Lynn Sherwin and promotes widespread public awareness of the dangers of a ruptured brain aneurysm - the sudden and silent killer that took her life and the lives of tens of thousands each year. Cindy was a dedicated athlete, marathoner and triathlete. She was struck down at the young age of 33 while training for her first ironman competition, Lake Placid 2007. TeamCindy enables and encourages athletes to participate in events in Cindy's name and to raise awareness and money to continue the fight agains this deadly disease throught the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
Our Team's 2015 fundraising supported the research of Dr. Hui Meng in investigating the development of blood-based biomarkers to transform cost and accessibility of detection of unruptured brain aneurysms. The research is working on understanding the gene expression and white blood cell characteristics that serve as markers to the presence of an aneurysm - and so to be the basis for much cheaper and widely applied testing than scans.
The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is the world's only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to providing critical awareness, education, support and research funding to reduce the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures.
