Welcome to Amanda Tran's Personal Page
It's that time of year again, I'm fundraising for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation!
In June 2023, I was diagnosed with a 6 mm brain aneurysm. Two months later, I underwent an endovascular coiling procedure to prevent it from rupturing. It was a life changing experience that made me realize how important awareness and early detection truly are.
My family's journey with brain aneurysms began 15+ years ago. My mother survived two ruptured brain aneurysms more than a decade ago. Because aneurysms can run in families, my neurosurgeons have confirmed that my sons will need lifelong screening. While brain aneurysms can't be prevented, early detection can make the difference between life and death.
On September 27th, I'll be participating in the Brain Aneurysm Foundation Chicago Run/Walk to raise awareness, support patients and families, and help fund critical research. The Foundation is dedicated to advancing research, promoting early detection, providing educational resources, and improving outcomes for those affected by brain aneurysms.
If you're able to contribute, any amount, big or small, will make a meaningful difference. Your generosity helps fund lifesaving research, supports families navigating this diagnosis, and brings hope to those impacted by brain aneurysms. If you're not able to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family can help raise awareness and reach others who may be inspired to support this important cause.
Thank you so much for your support!
