Brain Aneurysm Foundation

I'm fundraising for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation! 

I’m about to hit over 80 races (most of them done with my racing partner and gremlin dog, Millie), and this couldn’t be more meaningful of a race for us. My mom, Stephanie, survived a brain aneurysm that ruptured on September 1st, 2015. She was only 46 years old, had a less than 5% chance of surviving, and died twice on the operating table during her life-saving brain operation. It was a long road for her recovery, but she is thriving over 10 years later. While she is such a badass and one of the lucky survivors who is open about her aneurysm survival story, there are thousands of other families who have lost a loved one to brain aneurysms or survivors who are enduring the effects of such a nasty medical condition. 

Through your support, the Brain Aneurysm Foundation will be able to continue to provide support and educational materials and information to brain aneurysm patients, their families, and the medical community and to promote critical awareness of brain aneurysms which will lead to earlier detection. The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is funding essential research that will promote a better understanding of why this condition happens and identify those at risk before an aneurysm rupture occurs.
