Sonia’s Sole Mates: Strong Minds, Strong Hearts
My mom was someone who brought people together, showed up for others, and gave so much of herself to the people she loved. She believed in helping people, creating opportunities, and making a difference wherever she could.
August 31 would have been my mom’s 70th birthday. As my own birthday approaches, I wanted to mark this season by doing something meaningful in her honor and carrying forward the generosity she showed throughout her life.
My mom loved being surrounded by people and enjoyed walking, so bringing people together for a 5K in her honor feels especially fitting.
Through Sonia’s Sole Mates: Strong Minds, Strong Hearts, I’m raising $700 for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation to support research, education, awareness, and resources for people and families affected by brain aneurysms.
I’m excited to take the love so many people have for my mom and turn it into something that can make a real difference for someone else.
On September 26, we’ll walk, run, come together, and celebrate my mom while helping create impact in her name.
Whether you join us in person, participate virtually, donate, or share the fundraiser, thank you for helping me honor my mom and continue the spirit of giving that meant so much to her.
I'm fundraising for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation!
OUR MISSION: To promote early detection of brain aneurysms by providing knowledge and raising awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors. Work with the medical communities to provide support networks for patients and families, as well as to further research that will improve patient outcomes and save lives.
