#TeamRiseAfterRupture
I'm fundraising for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation!
In December 2023, my life changed forever.
I suffered a ruptured brain AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation), which caused a hemorrhagic stroke and required emergency brain surgery. AVMs are rare, affecting less than 1% of the population, and many people have never heard of them until their lives are suddenly changed by one.
In a matter of hours, everything I knew was turned upside down.
The months that followed were filled with uncertainty, physical challenges, and a long road to recovery. I had to relearn, rebuild, and find strength in ways I never imagined.
But this story is not about what happened to me.
It's about resilience, hope, and the people who stood beside me when I needed them the most. It's about every small victory, every step forward, and the determination to keep moving forward despite life's greatest challenges.
Today, I continue my recovery one day at a time. Every day is an opportunity to grow stronger, inspire others, and remind myself that hope remains even after life's darkest moments.
That is why I created Rise After Rupture and why I am participating in the Brain Aneurysm Foundation New York City Run/Walk on September 26th, 2026.
This team represents survivors, fighters, caregivers, families, and everyone whose life has been touched by brain AVMs, aneurysms, and stroke. I am raising awareness to support research and bringing hope to those who need it the most.
My goal is simple: To turn my survival into purpose.
Every donation, every share and every step we take together helps create a future where more lives can be saved and more families can find hope.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting this mission and standing with me.
