Brain Aneurysm Foundation

In November 18 2024, I experienced the most excruciating “headache” of my life. I kept calling it a headache because I didn’t have the vocabulary for what was happening.

An aneurysm had ruptured in my brain. 

I was rushed into emergency brain surgery, spent 5 weeks in ICU and rehab, plus months of recovery.

Just 10 months later, I formed TeamJanine and walked my first Brain Aneurysm Foundation 5k in NYC alongside family and friends.

Together, we raised more than $10,000!

Those funds were combined with two other fundraising efforts to create a $30,000 research grant in our names. In September, I'll have the honor of presenting that grant to the researcher alongside the other lead fundraisers.

That’s pretty amazing teamwork!

This year our goal is to raise $15,000.

Every dollar helps fund research, raise awareness, improve screening protocols, and support people whose lives can change in an instant.

Thank you for believing in this cause, for cheering me on, and for helping turn a really difficult chapter of my life into something that can help someone else.
