Michael Nash
Michael Nash

Our team walks and runs in loving memory of Michael Nash, a devoted husband, father, son, and friend whose life was taken far too soon by a ruptured brain aneurysm.

At just 25 years old, Michael was the proud father of his son, Tobyn, and joyfully awaiting the arrival of his second son, Finan. After experiencing a severe headache for several days, Michael went to his local emergency department, where he was diagnosed with a ruptured aneurysm and transferred to a larger hospital for specialized care. During a procedure the following day, unforeseen complications led to a massive stroke, causing devastating brain injury in addition to the bleeding from the aneurysm. Michael never regained consciousness and remained in the ICU for several weeks, enduring multiple complications and surgeries. Despite the tireless efforts of an exceptional medical team, his brain function could not be preserved. After thoughtful consultation and with broken hearts, his family made the courageous decision to transition his care to Infinite Legacy.

Michael loved life deeply. He was a champion shot put athlete, fiercely loyal to his family and friends, and known for greeting everyone with a big smile and an even bigger hug. His love was larger than life—and even in death, he continued to give. Honoring his wishes, Michael became an organ and tissue donor, giving life and hope to strangers in need. Though his son Finan never had the chance to meet his father, Michael’s legacy lives on through his children and through every life he touched.

Michael’s family participates in the Brain Aneurysm Run/Walk to honor his memory, raise awareness, and support research so that other families may be spared this unimaginable loss. Thank you for walking with us, remembering Michael, and supporting this vital cause.

I'm fundraising for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation!

OUR MISSION: To promote early detection of brain aneurysms by providing knowledge and raising awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors. Work with the medical communities to provide support networks for patients and families, as well as to further research that will improve patient outcomes and save lives.

Through your support, the Brain Aneurysm Foundation will be able to continue to provide support and educational materials and information to brain aneurysm patients, their families, and the medical community and to promote critical awareness of brain aneurysms which will lead to earlier detection. The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is funding essential research that will promote a better understanding of why this condition happens and identify those at risk before an aneurysm rupture occurs.

Thank you for making a difference with your support!
