I'm fundraising for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation!

My name is Tammy McDougal and I had my brain rupture from an unknown brain aneurysm on 11/10/23.

This is why early detection is so important.
I was at my daughter?s riding lesson when I got a weird headache that I?ve never felt before and all of a sudden I got major stiff neck pain.

Luckily a lady working at the barn talked me into going to the ER and of course she had to drive me. They thought I had a tension headache or migraine because I past all of the neuro exams he did. He almost didn?t do a CT scan but I started to vomit and I said I?ve never had a migraine or tension headache.

He didn?t CT scan and 30 minutes later came in as white as a ghost and said I had a brain bleed. They transferred me to the big hospital in Louiville where I actually work as a respiratory therapist.

I was in the ICU for almost 3 weeks and 1 night on the ventilator and fellow therapist had to help intubate me.

I had vasospasms and hydrocephalus but the neurosurgeons and intensivist saved me.

Thanks goodness for the wonderful care I got at Baptist east
