Support for our Unbreakable Minds
I'm fundraising for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation!
In May of 2024 at 8 weeks pregnant with my sweet Charlie, I was diagnosed with a rather sizable brain aneurysm. It was one of the scariest, most traumatic phone calls I have ever received. I saw my life and my babies life flash before my eyes. I am eternally grateful to my OBGYN, Dr. Kristin Bennett, who urged me to visit a neurologist after experiencing a migraine. After pushing for an MRI, not a typical test for migraines, we found an anterior communicating artery aneurysm (ACoA) a common type of aneurysm but one that is very likely of rupture. My migraines are completely unrelated to having an aneurysm but I am so lucky that I had one or we might never have found it as I do not have any of the risk factors.
After meeting with multiple neurosurgeons, Sam and I decided to go with Dr. Jahromi of Northwestern who performed a cerebral embolization in April 2025 after successfully welcoming Charlie into the world in November 2024. It has been a very long road and one that is not over yet. I am grateful for my family, my children, my community, and the doctors along the way who have given me a new lease on life and a future with my three beautiful children.
Please consider supporting the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, a cause near and dear to my heart, through a donation or participating in the upcoming Chicago walk on September 28th, 2025.

The Brain Aneurysm Foundation Mission: To promote early detection of brain aneurysms by providing knowledge and raising awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors. Work with the medical communities to provide support networks for patients and families, as well as to further research that will improve patient outcomes and save lives.
Through your support, the Brain Aneurysm Foundation will be able to continue to provide support and educational materials and information to brain aneurysm patients, their families, and the medical community and to promote critical awareness of brain aneurysms which will lead to earlier detection. The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is funding essential research that will promote a better understanding of why this condition happens and identify those at risk before an aneurysm rupture occurs.
Thank you for making a difference with your support!
