I'm fundraising for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation!

It's officially year 2

The entirety of the last ≈two years still doesn't even feel like it was real life.

I'll never forget the morning that my mom's neurologist called me and said "your mom's aneurysm has grown, there's another one, and we have to operate immediately." As someone that usually has a minimal of 250 follow up questions to anything, for once I didn't. My brain turned off, because the information coming from the other line of the phone wasn't something I had ever even played through in my head. He interrupted my silence with "we need to operate immediately, or your mother isn't going to survive."

Over the next weeks and months, I sat quietly just waiting to know when I could exhale. The truth of the matter was that no matter how many wins there were, there was still the cloud of "there's still one more in there" that hung above room.

As of June 19th, 2024, I could exhale. Not only that, I could celebrate. My mom was a survivor.

1 in 50 people in the US has an unruptured brain aneurysm.

A brain aneurysm ruptures every 18 minutes.

There are almost 500,000 deaths worldwide caused by brain aneurysms, half of the victims are younger than 50.

The federal government spends $2.94 per year on research per person afflicted.

I walk to celebrate my mom; to celebrate all that she's been through and overcome. I also walk to honor the fact that if my mom didn't have the privilege of access to proper diagnosis and treatment, we wouldn't be so lucky. Every penny we raise will be used to help other families like ours. Some lucky like us, and many many many others that have stories with a much more tragic ending.

Thank you to everyone who read this far. Thank you to everyone to was a crutch that I leaned on through the scariest time of my entire life. Thank you for every person that will help our team reach our goal!!

LETS EFFIN CRUSH IT!!!
