I'm fundraising for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation!
I am raising money for Brain Aneurysm research for people and families like mine. December 2022 I received a call that would change my life forever. My mother was found unresponsive and we would later learn my mother suffered a ruptured aneurysm. We spent 2 weeks by her side in the ICU praying for a miracle that would never come and we had to say goodbye to our pillar of strength and love. One month after her passing our world would be thrown for a loop again when my brother and I were diagnosed with 6mm brain aneurysms and told we required surgical intervention. Feb 2023 I would under Neuroendovascular coiling of my brain aneurysm.
The hardest part of this journey has been accepting that I am a brain aneurysm survivor because I lost my mom. I will forever be thankful to my incredible neurosurgery family who encouraged me to get tested and has continued to support me.
I am walking to promote awareness for brain aneurysms in hopes that someday families won't have to face this heartbreak. I choose to walk for my mom, my brother, myself and the patients and families we treat everyday.
OUR MISSION: To promote early detection of brain aneurysms by providing knowledge and raising awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors. Work with the medical communities to provide support networks for patients and families, as well as to further research that will improve patient outcomes and save lives.
Through your support, the Brain Aneurysm Foundation will be able to continue to provide support and educational materials and information to brain aneurysm patients, their families, and the medical community and to promote critical awareness of brain aneurysms which will lead to earlier detection. The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is funding essential research that will promote a better understanding of why this condition happens and identify those at risk before an aneurysm rupture occurs.
Thank you for making a difference with your support!
