Keeping Up With the Costanza's

Join us AUGUST 17, 2025 for the Pittsburgh Brain Aneurysm Foundation 5K, helping to raise funds and awareness for brain aneurysms!

Hi! My name is Amanda Costanza and I am a 2x unruptured brain aneurysm survivor s/p 2x craniotomy for aneurysm clipping.  I am incredibly grateful for my amazing family and friends who have supported me throughout my journey and for Dr. Wecht and the rest of the UPMC Neurosurgery team for their outstanding medical care.  I truly feel blessed to be on the other side of the ICU bed, now working as a neurosurgical physician assistant helping patients through their worst days alongside the team who helped to save my life twice.  Please help me in continuing to raise awareness and funds for this important cause that is so near and dear to my heart (and brain!) so that others can be as lucky as I have been to have their aneurysms diagnosed and treated before rupture.

OUR MISSION: To promote early detection of brain aneurysms by providing knowledge and raising awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors. Work with the medical communities to provide support networks for patients and families, as well as to further research that will improve patient outcomes and save lives.

Through your support, the Brain Aneurysm Foundation will be able to continue to provide support and educational materials and information to brain aneurysm patients, their families, and the medical community and to promote critical awareness of brain aneurysms which will lead to earlier detection. The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is funding essential research that will promote a better understanding of why this condition happens and identify those at risk before an aneurysm rupture occurs.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT, IT TRULY MEANS THE WORLD TO ME!

xo Amanda
