Team Griff (In Loving Memory of Brendan Griffin)

We walk for Brendan. This will be our 8th year walking for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation In Honor and Loving Memory of Brendan Griffin.

May 1st 2016 was the beginning of the worst time in our lives. Brendan suffered an A3 segment aneurysm and was med-flighted to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Dr. Thomas and his amazing team and staff placed a coil and treated the aneurysm in Brendan brain. We would then spend the next 3 weeks commuting everyday from NH to Boston to be with Brendan as he recovered. We went through so many highs and lows in those 3 weeks. On May 24th, 2016 Brendan passed away from complications from the aneurysm. It was absolutely devastating, Brendan was only 32 years old and had so much life left to live. He left behind his wife and 3 little boys, father, sister, nieces, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends we consider family. We miss him every single day! Life has never been the same since.

We walk for Brendan but also to raise awareness and money for much needed research. We have come to find out that aneurysms can be hereditary and we know that one day it could be one of us in his shoes. Over the last 8 years we have raised over $22,000 for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation and we will continue to walk, raise awareness and money for research in honor of our Brendan. Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts for all your support throughout these last 8 years and the years to come. We love each and everyone of you! Thank you!

We're fundraising for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation!

OUR MISSION: To promote early detection of brain aneurysms by providing knowledge and raising awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors. Work with the medical communities to provide support networks for patients and families, as well as to further research that will improve patient outcomes and save lives.

Through your support, the Brain Aneurysm Foundation will be able to continue to provide support and educational materials and information to brain aneurysm patients, their families, and the medical community and to promote critical awareness of brain aneurysms which will lead to earlier detection. The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is funding essential research that will promote a better understanding of why this condition happens and identify those at risk before an aneurysm rupture occurs.

Thank you for making a difference with your support!
