Lace Up For Linda

Donate Now

Her legacy. My miles. Our impact.

On September 25, 2023, I lost my mom, Linda due to complications after suffering a brain aneurysm.

She was one of the most giving, selfless, and generous people I’ve ever known. She showed her love through action- always putting others first, helping quietly, and giving without ever expecting anything in return. Her kindness shaped who I am, and I carry her example with me every day.

This year will mark the third anniversary of her passing. As September is Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month, I’m lacing up my running shoes in September for the Chicago Half Marathon in her honor. Every mile I run is for her strength, her generosity, and the love she gave so freely.

In celebration of her February 27th birthday, I’ve set a fundraising goal of $2,270. I can’t think of a more meaningful way to honor her life than by turning love into action and giving back in her name.

Through Lace Up for Linda, I’m raising money for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation to fund research, increase awareness, and support families impacted by this devastating condition. Brain aneurysms often strike without warning, and too many families experience the same heartbreak we did.

If you’re able, please consider donating $27 in honor of her 2/27 birthday- or any amount that feels meaningful to you. Every dollar brings us closer to the $2,270 goal and helps create hope for other families.

If you can’t donate, sharing this page is another powerful way to make a difference.

Thank you for helping me carry forward her legacy of love.

-Ann Marie

We did it!
Update June 14, 2026
Thanks to the incredible generosity of family, friends, coworkers, and supporters, I've officially reached my fundraising goal of $2,270.00!
I am truly grateful for every donation, share, message of encouragement, and show of support. This cause is deeply meaningful to me, and your contributions help support research, education, awareness, and resources for patients and families affected.
While I've reached my original goal, the fundraiser remains open, and any additional donations will continue to support the Foundation's important work. If you're reading this and considering donating, it's not too late to make an impact.
Thank you again for helping make this journey such a success. I look forward to carrying your support with me on race day!
With all my love,
Ann Marie
