1,800 miles Pacific Coast bikepacking from Canada to Mexico 6/15-7/20
From June 15th to July 20th, I am taking on the ultimate test of endurance. I am bikepacking 1,800 miles down the Pacific Coast with 100,000 ft elevation gain, entirely self-supported, from the Canadian border to the Mexican border.
For 36 grueling days, I will be pedaling a bicycle loaded down with 65 pounds of rig - carrying my tent, clothing, food, and tools over every brutal mountain pass and coastal headwind. Pushing that much weight for 1,800 miles will test my body and mind to their absolute limits. Yet, that heavy burden is nothing compared to the sudden, overwhelming weight a family carries when a loved one is diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.
I am dedicating every ounce of effort and every mile of this heavy haul to raising critical funds for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
Brain aneurysms are a silent killer, often striking healthy people without warning. The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is the leading organization funding early detection research, pioneering medical grants, and survivor support networks that save lives every day.
I start pedaling on June 15th. Before I strap on my 65 lbs of gear and head south, I need your help to reach my fundraising goal.
Every dollar you donate helps make a real difference in the fight against brain aneurysms. Your support goes toward:
Research & Innovation – Funding groundbreaking research to improve early detection, treatment options, and ultimately find a cure.
Awareness & Education – Educating the public and medical professionals to recognize the warning signs and risk factors of brain aneurysms.
Patient & Family Support – Providing resources, guidance, and support for survivors and their loved ones navigating life after diagnosis.
Advocacy Efforts – Pushing for increased funding, research initiatives, and policy changes to prioritize brain aneurysm awareness and treatment.
All donations are tax-deductible and every dollar raised goes to help support the mission of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
Please consider sponsoring a piece of my ride, for every pound of gear I'm hauling! for every mile pedaled and for every day of the trek! I will be carrying your support with me through every single pedal stroke from Canada to Mexico.
Thank you for helping me save lives, one mile—and one pound—at a time.
With deep gratitude,
James
