Welcome to My BrainPower Page: Jogging for Julie

Donate Now

Hi everyone, As many of you know, I am raising awareness and funds for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation and I have set up a BrainPower Page. I'd like to be able to count on you to make a donation to the organization so that I can help them fulfill their mission. Giving is easy!  You can read more about what we do here as well as make a secure donation online.

The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is the world's premier nonprofit organization solely dedicated to providing critical awareness, education, support and research funding to reduce the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures.

All proceeds go towards:

  • Funding and supporting new research.
  • Providing support and educational materials to the medical community, the newly diagnosed, survivors, family members, friends and the general public regarding the facts, treatment options, and recovery process for brain aneurysms.
  • Increasing awareness of brain aneurysms by promoting National Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month in September and by distributing aneurysm awareness materials to Emergency Departments in every hospital and to the community.

With your support, we can start making a real investment to help fight the devastation caused by brain aneurysms and save lives. All donations are tax-deductible and every dollar raised goes to help support the mission of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.

If you cannot make a donation at this time, please forward this link to everyone you know. Post this on your Facebook and Twitter pages. Every donation counts, no matter what the amount.

The loss of a loved one is devastating. Yet, we are always reminded by our hearts – how lucky we have been to know those that we loved even in our loss.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated.

My mom, Julie, suffered a brain aneurysm on June 10, 2021. For two and half months she fought for her life in UAB’s NICU and other various units. She was doing so well and on her way to recovery. She was just a few days from being discharged from UAB to a rehab facility here in Northport when she suffered another traumatic blow. On August 8, 2021 she had a stroke that ultimately lead to the end of her life on August 26, 2021. My sister, Carly, and I were able to be with her and hold her hand as she took her last breath on Earth and her first breath in Heaven. Losing her has been the hardest thing we have ever been through and we struggle with the loss of her daily. I am doing this fundraiser as a small way to find hope and joy through the life that she lead and in memory of her. I want to raise awareness about brain aneurysms and how we can help people in need. My mom was the most amazing person and I want to live my life to make her proud.
