Welcome to Patty Sergeant's Memorial Page
Patricia "Patty" (Sparcie) Sergeant
Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Friend, and Kuma
"One day you will be just a memory for some people - do your best to be a good one."
These words were handwritten by Patty Sergeant on a Post-it note found on her desk at the time of her passing. They are not only a reflection of her outlook on life but also of the way she lived each day - with purpose, compassion, and love.
Patty passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm on July 23, 2015, at the age of 58. She had no prior symptoms, no family history, and had not been tested for a brain aneurysm. She lived an active and healthy life, was always on the go, and always committed to her faith, friends and family.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, loyal sister, cherished friend, and beloved Kuma. Patty was the heart of her family. Her warmth, strength, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. A faithful member of St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Aliquippa and deeply involved in her community, she also had a deep love for her Tamburitzan family, joyfully celebrating culture through music and tradition.
The love and support Patty’s family received during the time of her passing - and continues to feel a decade later - is both tremendous and deeply appreciated.
To honor Patty’s life and help prevent other families from facing similar loss and heartbreak, we encourage support of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation—the world’s only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to brain aneurysm awareness, education, support, and research.
