Welcome to Chris Meehan's Memorial Page
Chris had the worst headache of his life on Thanksgiving Day of November 2000. He was subsequently diagnosed, had surgery, then died in the short months that followed. He was just 28 years old.
With love and support from his family, and friends, this memorial page has been set up in loving memory of Chris Meehan. As many of you may know, I am a board member and advocate for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation in honor of Chris' memory. The goal is to raise at least $10,000 to establish a chair of research in Chris’ name to support research in the areas of early detection, education for first responders, and mental and physical aspects of coping with the impact of brain aneurysm.
Chris’ life story is inspirational. He was adopted as a baby into a loving family from a Korean orphanage severely malnutritioned. His doctors were not sure if he would ever walk. With the love of the Meehan family he grew into a healthy 5’10” man who wrestled in high school, and was an avid golfer as an adult. Chris was a beloved son, brother, friend, uncle, cousin, co-worker, community member, and significant other. He had a thriving career with JP Morgan Chase as a Vice President, and caring co-workers. His life was so full with his New York group, and his California group – he was always surrounded by caring, authentic friendships, in addition to his very large and loving family. Chris had his whole life ahead of him. He was so approachable, kind, giving, and had an innocent, fun-loving, mischievousness about him that most everyone found irresistibly engaging.
He was gone too soon. He is missed deeply. We want to continue to honor his legacy with a research grant in his name.
We'd like to be able to count on you to make a donation to the organization so that we can help them fulfill their mission. Giving is easy! Please click Donate Now on my page. You can read more about what we do here as well as make a secure donation online.
The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is the world's only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to providing critical awareness, education, support and research funding to reduce the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures.
All proceeds go towards:
- - Funding and supporting new research.
- - Providing support and educational materials to the medical community, the newly diagnosed, survivors, family members, friends and the general public regarding the facts, treatment options, and recovery process for brain aneurysms.
- - Increasing awareness of brain aneurysms by promoting National Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month in September and by distributing aneurysm awareness materials to Emergency Departments in every hospital and to the community.
With your support, we can start making a real investment to help fight the devastation caused by brain aneurysms and save lives. All donations are tax-deductible and every dollar raised goes to help support the mission of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated.
Angela, and the Meehans
