In Honor and Memory of Virginia Pistillo

Our family lost a beloved and devoted mom, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
If you knew her, you loved her. Virginia had a kind and gentle heart. She cared deeply for so many people—even strangers. She would do anything for anyone. Virginia was supportive, encouraged dreams, and always saw the good in the world. Virginia had many gifts to share with everyone. She was always smiling and laughing loudly. Virginia was truly beautiful inside and out.
Her sons, Matthew and Christopher, describe her as a rainbow in the sky, gleaming in the foggy day light, it just wants to make you cry. A true beauty that fell from heaven. She is one-of-a-kind. She has soft and strawberry smelling skin. She is a helping soul to everyone big and small.
Her mom says “Virginia is my morning sunshine. I could not have asked for a better child. Virginia’s love of life was extensive and touched many people through her kindness. May God bless my girl, we will miss her so much.”
As a sister, Virginia was a role model, mentor, and friend. As one of seven (she had three brothers and three sisters), she had the opportunity to be both caretaker and confidant. We all loved her so much and will miss her presence in our lives.
She held a special place in the hearts of all who knew her, and know you held a special place in her heart as well. We will always be reminded by our hearts how lucky we have been to know and love her.
Her passing is such an incredible loss, but Virginia was so full of life that we know her vibrant, beautiful spirit will live on. It was her wish that in death she give life through organ donation, and she was able to save the lives of five people—an amazing and admirable final gift.
We are utterly heartbroken, but feel we now have the responsibility to help bring awareness and raise money for brain aneurysm research. Our hope is that with more knowledge and research, the future will be better for another family. Your support means a lot to us and would mean so much to Virginia.
About The Brain Aneurysm Foundation
The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is the world's only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to providing critical awareness, education, support and research funding to reduce the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures.
All proceeds go towards:
- Funding and supporting new research.
- Providing support and educational materials to the medical community, the newly diagnosed, survivors, family members, friends and the general public regarding the facts, treatment options, and recovery process for brain aneurysms.
- Increasing awareness of brain aneurysms by promoting National Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month in September and by distributing aneurysm awareness materials to Emergency Departments in every hospital and to the community.
With your support, we can start making a real investment to help fight the devastation caused by brain aneurysms and save lives. All donations are tax-deductible and every dollar raised goes to help support the mission of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated.
