Welcome to Katelyn M. Caruso Memorial Page
As many of you know, we are raising awareness and funds for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation in loving memory of our beautiful daughter, Katelyn Marie Caruso. We have set up a Memorial Page and with the help of her family, friends, coworkers and caring acquaintances, who make up KATELYN's CREW, will continue to support the work and mission of the BAF.
Katelyn was just 31 years old when she passed away January 9, 2023 from a ruptured brain aneurysm which happened during a routine morning workout. Katelyn lived life to the fullest...she was very active, athletic, competitive, fun loving, caring and very hard working. She graduated with a Masters Degree from Quinnipiac University 2015 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She became a board certified OTR and Certified Hand Specialist. She was passionate about her career at Excel Orthopaedic Specialists and loved helping her patients heal. She also worked at Tufts University Graduate School of OT and at Spaulding Rehabilitation Center in Boston on the brain injury floor. Katelyn worked hard and played hard. She loved to spend time with family and friends always planning something fun to do. She especially loved to travel! Her adventures took her to so many beautiful places...her favorites were St John USVI, BVI's, Ireland, Iceland, Park City and so many more. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment.
Katelyn had so much to look forward to. She had just bought her first house and was to get married in May 2023 to her fiance Brett. Tragically everything changed for her and so many of her loved ones. Her loss is so devastating to so many people. We want to honor her legacy and continue to help raise funds for awareness, research, diagnosis and treatments of brain aneurysms. The efforts of KATELYN's CREW will continue to raise funds for BAF while honoring Katelyn doing things she loved.
We would like to be able to count on you to make a donation to the organization so that we can help BAF fulfill their mission. Giving is easy! Please click Donate Now on my page. You can read more about the BAF as well as make a secure donation online.
The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is the world's only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to providing critical awareness, education, support and research funding to reduce the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures.
All proceeds go towards:
- Funding and supporting new research.
- Providing support and educational materials to the medical community, the newly diagnosed, survivors, family members, friends and the general public regarding the facts, treatment options, and recovery process for brain aneurysms.
- Increasing awareness of brain aneurysms by promoting National Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month in September and by distributing aneurysm awareness materials to Emergency Departments in every hospital and to the community.
With your support, we can start making a real investment to help fight the devastation caused by brain aneurysms and help save lives. All donations are tax-deductible and every dollar raised goes to help support the mission of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Lynne and Joe Caruso
